creed speaking

the creed speaking LDE (learning development event) is for freshmen only. you recite the ffa creed and then answer three questions related to it.

impromptu

leigha Neilson placed 1st at sections!

 a student will receive a question that may be asked about ag. You will then have limited time to create a 30-120 second speech. For the second round, you will have quotes or keywords related to agricultural leadership or the ag industry.

job interview

the job interview lde allows students to create a resume and cover letter and prepare for their future as they begin to enter the workforce.

opening and closing ceremonies

the opening & closing ceremonies LDE is a competition where members recite the opening and closing ceremonies that are used at ffa meetings. WIth various levels to compete at, all members are given the opportunity to participate in this LDE.

a student will draw 3 out of the 18 possible topics and then have 30 minutes to prepare a 4-6 minute speech on 1 of their selected choices with their 5 resources on that topic. after the speech, you will answer 5 minutes worth of questions about your topic.

the contestant will prepare a 6-8 minute speech about an ag-related topic. You will then memorize and perform this speech to judges at the public speaking events. You will then answer questions related to your speech's topic.
